We're looking for a Quality Engineer! In this role you'll work on supplier development and quality for castings and forgings, which you don't have to be familiar with. You'll develop suppliers where technical requirements may be limited. You'll hlep to interpret and improve quality assurance standards. This includes ensuring quality assurance activities are documented, internal reporting processes adhered to, and regular audits implemented. The Quality Engineer will identify any training needs and ensure the company-wide participation in the quality management system.

 
  • Plan, execute, and document inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications and deliverables.
  • Assist operations team in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels for performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental, health, and safety goals and key performance indicators.
  • Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor risk-management procedures using software and documentation to identify, investigate, and report issues to management and product development teams.
  • Provide training and support to team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Support or conduct external ISO, UL, or internal audits

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related field. 
  • 1-10 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing/industrial or related setting. 
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement standards, terminology, methods, and tools including ISO9001, version control procedures, non-conformance/corrective action processes, auditing, 8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen, process flow mapping, etc.
