We are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to lead supplier quality initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards while fostering continuous improvement within the supply chain. This position will manage a team of Senior Supplier Quality Engineers and oversee receiving Inspection processes to maintain high-quality incoming materials and optimize supplier performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and expertise in process optimization.

- Guide and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers to enhance supplier performance and reliability.
- Formulate and execute supplier quality strategies to minimize defects, improve consistency, and uphold compliance with company standards.
- Establish and monitor supplier quality metrics, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to onboard new suppliers, conduct audits, and advance supplier development efforts.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues, ensuring effective long-term solutions.
- Supervise Receiving Inspection processes to confirm incoming materials align with quality requirements before use in production.
- Design and refine inspection protocols, sampling methodologies, and testing criteria.
- Implement risk-based inspection strategies leveraging supplier history and data analytics for efficiency gains.
- Ensure appropriate measurement systems are utilized for verifying material conformity.
- Drive supplier quality enhancement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects.
- Collaborate with suppliers to strengthen process control, standardization, and defect prevention efforts.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards for supplier management.
- Conduct supplier audits and implement corrective actions based on audit findings to improve overall quality systems.
- Act as the primary interface between Suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve supplier-related challenges.
- Work alongside Manufacturing Engineering to address supplier-related design changes, material qualifications, and process validation efforts.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, setting continuous improvement objectives and corrective action initiatives.
- Mentor and train supplier quality personnel to ensure alignment with company goals and quality expectations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (preferred) with at least 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
- OR an Associate degree in a technical field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in supplier quality management, auditing, or inspection.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) is a plus.
- Supplier Management & Leadership: Proven ability to develop suppliers, manage audits, and lead supplier quality teams.
- Receiving Inspection & Material Quality: Expertise in designing inspection plans, statistical sampling, and material verification.
- Quality Standards & Compliance: Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or equivalent quality management systems.
- Process Improvement & Data Analysis: Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, and advanced problem-solving methodologies.
